I sold an item the customer paid and I sent the item. Post issues made it later than usual and the buyer opened a dispute. Buyer has since received the item however paypal aren't accepting that the issue is resolved and have put me onto a minus in my account. Do I have to just wait it out?

Is it still a dispute OR has it been escalated to a claim?

Did you send the item with tracking and does tracking show online that the item is delivered?

Did you add tracking to the dispute?

It was escalated to a claim. There was no tracking. The buyer made the claim via her bank? Anyway paypal refunded her despite me telling them that I had sent the item. She then received it, told her bank, they returned the refund. I have told paypal this countless times.

In the event of an item not received dispute the only way paypal can decide who is correct is by a tracking number.

If you provide tracking that shows the item as delivered to the buyers paypal registered address then you win, if you decide to not send with tracking and take the risk then you lose.

Just telling paypal you 'sent' the item is not different than the buyer saying that they have not 'received' the item. You need to provide trackable proof of delivery or you will lose any non receipt of item dispute.

It wasn't quite that way but I know what you're saying. The point is that both the buyer and her bank have confirmed that the item has been received and the refund has been returned. Never mind will just wait out the 180 days.
