Open a dispute on a case that was cancelled

I opened a dispute case because i realised the website was a scam. The original case I filed was incorrect so I closed it so I could open a new one but now it wont let me. I thought everyone who allowed you to use paypal was legit

Paypal would not be able to check every individual seller / merchant / company in over 200 countries worldwide that adds paypal to their website to accept payments.
So they give some buyer and some seller protection. However that protection can never be a 100% coverall so you need to read it so you can risk assess your transactions.

You are allowed x1 dispute per transaction, and can't re-open a dispute OR open another one for the same transaction.

You could reach out to customer services and see if they will open a second dispute for you for a different reason but that is not guaranteed they will do so.
