I created an account using a Psudoname

Hello. I created an account using my video game character's name back in 2019. I recently decided to use my real name on my account and I submitted a change of ID on the account but I am afraid that I might get flagged for Fraud. I am going to call customer support to try to make sure that I didn't do anything wrong. I got some money from friends who knew who I was through Paypal and none of the transactions ever got flagged but recently illinois is making a tax law so I decided to update my information. I hope that I wont get in any trouble as I usually only used the account to make purchases. I have phone conversations proving that people who sent me money knew who I was and I wasn't scamming.

If the name on the account is not a name that was ever your legal name, it is not likely that a name change will be possible. Names can be changed on an account in the following circumstances:

A legal name change

A minor misspelling

And in the case of an account for a registered business, a change in the designated contact for the company.

Changing from a fictitious name (or, as in your case, a name unrelated to your legal name) to a legally recognized name is not something that is supported. If the account is not currently limited, you may wish to close the account and open an account using the correct information.

I just got off the phone with customer support. They said everything is fine and my name change went through without issue. They also said my account is in good standing.

Well you are very lucky and a first as that is contrary to what they state and normally do.
