How do you cancel ShipStation on PayPal. I received an automatic $34.51 charge I did not sign up for to ship via paypal now. Very tricky and underhanded the way they snuck that fee in on PayPal users on what used to be a free service ... so we can no long accept PayPal payments on eBay and now we have to pay another 3rd party to ship postal when it is free on USPS.com ... so why do I need PayPal now again ???

What I was able to do, after a few weeks of finding the right person/entity to complain to, is submit detailed data on the $14.75 upcharge for an APV (automated postage valuation) to the USPS department that deals with APV issues. It took a few weeks but they realized that I was 100% correct and they were 100% wrong, and refunded the full upcharge. What I was able to do with PayPal is "disable shipping" on our PayPal account. I use an entity called "PirateShip" now for discounted shipping. No it doesn't integrate with PayPal but they are much easier to deal with. As I stated at the beginning of my first post, the move by PayPal to ShipStation solved a problem that simply did not exist. If they had a clue, PayPal would dump ShipStation and go back to the former platform, which may have been Pitney-Bowes. Not sure on that but I used it for years without issue. As soon as they moved to ShipStation the problems started.

How do I disable shipping. ShipStation soaked me for over 100 last week. Both transaction were Subscription Fees. I disable my subscription and automatic payments to ShipStation. Is that enough to complete block shipstation from access to my PayPal account.
Although it is not as convenient I am changing over to PirateShip.
I may even dump PayPal after all of this. I filed a dispute on the charges. But I already know It will not be resolved for a long time. Several weeks at least. Same as every dispute with PayPal.

What I did is call PayPal--and you need to speak with a HUMAN BEING who speaks English in order to do this.
Have them DISABLE the shipping part of PayPal. You will not get any more charges. You also will not be able to ship directly out of your PayPal account any longer.
This is what I did on one of our PayPal accounts. We are a car club. I've reverted to using PirateShip.
I sorely wish they'd go back to their old platform, this ShipStation is a joke. Total waste of time.
Before PayPal had converted over to Ship Station, last year I opened a ShipStation account and it was nothing but trouble. I quickly cancelled that account.

Olivia, if you work for PayPal, you need to tell them that the move to ShipStation was, in a word, STUPID. It solved no problem. Your "old" platform, both as standalone and as Multi-Order shipping was just fine. Never had an issue with that. As soon as you migrated one of my PayPal accounts to ShipStation, that's when the first APV charge hit. I do not believe it was coincidence, as I had shipped over 500 identical books last year using just the old PayPal platform, and in the first shipment on ShipStation, identical package as before, I was hit with extra charges. Only due to my perseverance was I able to get the wrong charges refunded. As you can see from many people commenting here and in similar threads, few like this ShipStation system. If PayPal were smart they'd dump ShipStation in a heartbeat and go back to the perfectly working older system.
For others caught in this he**, find another platform for shipping, as I did. PirateShip is fine and they are NOT pointing fingers with customer service.

Shipstation is charging people days after you purchase a label saying it's an adjustment. In my case saying I paid first class and shipped priority, which is not true, and I have several ways of proving. When you complain, they say, talk to USPS. Paypal does not have your back because you have given permission to shipstation to get paid for shipping labels.
This never happened with the old pitney bowes system. Please bring it back.
Shipstation is costing sellers precious time and giving them unnecessary distress.

I just discovered that over the last few weeks, I've received hundreds of charges from Ship Station for labels (all within the $3-5 range, but over 600 of them, so it really added up) that I DID NOT ORDER!!! How do I get my several thousands of dollars refunded?

Yikes. Looks like someone may have hacked into your PayPal account and started shipping like crazy, OR there was some wacky disconnect between PayPal and ShipStation. As the labels were "purchased" it's going to be extremely difficult to get either PayPal or ShipStation to admit to any wrong on their part (you are always wrong and they are always right, the height of corporate arrogance I'm afraid). I've disabled shipping on my PayPal accounts since as soon as PayPal moved to ShipStation, all he** broke loose. I had problems enough with ShipStation as a stand alone having nothing to do with PayPal, in a shipping "experiment" last year. Then when PayPal started using them I started having problems. So, best to simply stop using PayPal's shipping. Use something like PirateShip, they are way easier to deal with and so far no big mistakes.
