Got email from paypal that my password is changed

Today i got an email from paypal that my account password is changed but did not do any changes at all

It seems like this is an attempt to hack and access my account, please how do i secure my account from these unothorized activities

Have you logged in normally using your password and did you get in ok?

Has the password changed and you can't log in?

Are there any changes to your paypal account activity?

The password did change without my permission so I proceeded the password reset process and accessed my account
Luckily no changes to my paypal activity or balance

I Added a 2fa authenticator but want to know how to secure my paypal, its important for me, its what i use to pay rent and bills

Make sure you have a strong password.

Update your security questions.

Run an antivirus / malware scan on your computer.

Keep an eye on any linked funding sources for suspicious activity.

Finally don't click on any links in emails or send folks codes paypal send to you to access your account.
