Counterfeit Items

Earlier this month i bought a couple of original vintage shirts from a seller overseas, we used paypal goods and service; however after receiving ive checked the item and found that it is counterfeit, as i am a long term collector and dealer. Hence i could tell, i also did some paid authentication services and send to my collector friends to double check. Conclude that it is fake, talked to the seller; seller agree to refund however seller does not have the funds anymore. i opened paypal dispute since early september, around 20th september, paypal favour seller due to it being 'processed correctly' transaction even though i told them it's fake. i talked to support again they escalated; as of 1 oct they sided with seller again even though items proven fake. context: i've been using paypal for a very long time and paid a lot fees, business account and never got charge back before. seller account is overseas and unverified, throughout the weeks of investigation seller disappeared, did not reply to me on instagram, did not reply to paypal resolution centre. so i not sure how is it possible for paypal to favor seller, even there was evidence that item is fake, his paypal account is unverified, his original selling page on instagram is banned, everything was red flag but somehow paypal sided with him. just because he entered the tracking number correctly. please advise as i will be making a police report, i have the info on this guy, and SNAD division on paypal doesn't seems to know that their own client is being scammed.

Unfortunately if you bought from China or similar then they are allowed to sell fake items in their country.

So if you paid for a shirt and got a shirt then the item may not be viewed as ''significantly'' other than as described by paypal.

If you funded your paypal payment via a credit card then you could try with your card issuer but they have been known to decline as well as buying internationally you have to factor in the possibility of the fake element.
