I have been told by someone they put £40 in my PayPal account (which nothing shows) then they said I have to upgrade via email and send them £160.. then PayPal will refund me £200 .. they sent 3 emails asking me to do this quickly otherwise all my bank accounts and PayPal will be closed down? I don’t even have the £40?? Is this a scam?
Welcome to the PayPal Community Forum. I'm glad you reached out regarding this transaction. You should never have to send someone money to receive money through PayPal. In short, this does not sound like a legitimate transaction. You can read more about how to spot a fake, fraudulent, or phishing email here.
