missing mail, seller and i dont know what to do

Hello i had a question, i purchased something using g&s from someone and the tracking for the item was provided, the item was shipped, but when it was time for delivery, the usps tracking said “waiting for delivery scan” for the longest, after a week or so i opened a “missing mail search” with usps, it’s been a couple of weeks and there still has been no update or delivery on the package. The seller has been responsive and we both don’t know what to do about this situation. I know i can open a claim/dispute with PayPal but i do not want this to negatively impact the seller. What are the steps that i should take? Ty.

I'm sorry to hear that you haven't received an item you purchased and it seems to be lost in the mail. I understand how frustrating and concerning this would be. I understand that you do not want to negatively impact the merchant in this situation, but opening a dispute would be the only option that PayPal can offer. You can visit the Help Center to learn more about how to open a dispute
