hi i’m new to paypal and have only made the account because i have been promised a payment be made to to me for doing nothing as such! i have been sent a estimate email through brown [removed] saying that to receive payment into my account i have to pay an international transfer fee of 98 usd! but my concern is that there is no activity showing on my pay pal account! i’m being told that this is because i haven’t paid the international transfer fee yet and it will show once i’ve paid it! this seems dodgy to me, hence asking the community if this is right or not? i would really appreciate a quick response as my partner thinks i should just trust the process and pay the fee but i’m not up for just handing money over that i can’t really afford to! thanks all

It’s a scam!
The estimate is just a ploy to scam you. When someone pays, PayPal deducts their fee and leaves you the rest. They do not hide your payment, send you an estimate asking you to pay a some random exorbitant int’l transfer fee in order to show your payment.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
