Connected my paypal account with Fiverr Workspace, received a payment from my client, then got an email from PayPal saying:

 

We need some information from you.

Why do we need this information?

We noticed some significant changes to your account activity. We require some information from you to understand this kind of account activity better.

We've also temporarily limited certain features in your PayPal account.

Currently, you won't be able to:

Make a payment
Withdraw funds

 

What should you do?

Log in to your PayPal account and provide the information we've requested

 

I logged in to my account, but there is nothing I can do except seeing a warning page:

Most common reasons for an account limitation are:-

1. You have a previously limited account (temporary or permanent) and you have tried to open a new account and not resolved the issues with the other account first.
2. Using a VPN.
3. Not being in the country where you have opened a Paypal account.
4. Being under 18.
5. Having 2 Paypal accounts or more of the same account type.

If none of those then.........

You need to contact customer services to resolve any limitation or account specific issues.
Click help / contact bottom left of Paypal pages for options available for your country.

Or have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.

I tried to contact them through FB and Twitter, nothing helps, Paypal is ridiculous. Dump Paypal and switch to Stripe.

Hi there, The same exact thing just happened to me today and I need answers too! I've only ever bought products and had transferred money amongst family and friends. I don't sell anything and it did not give me a reason for killing my account except that I violated the user agreement which I know I have not. Luckily, I have no money in this account and I use it primarily for convenience while at checkout for products but it's just very annoying and inconvenient.
