Why would they add limitations?

Hi everyone, this morning I received an email saying “you can no longer do business with PayPal”. I am extremely upset and confused as to why this happened. I’ve been seeing many other posts and it seems that most of the people this happened to as well, sell things online. Meanwhile I have never sold anything and do not receive any money. The one time I did receive money, it was 1 dollar from a friend of mine. That was all. And this was months ago. Besides that, I use PayPal for online shopping. I was able to contact customer support, they told me they had no idea why it happened because they were unable to check, due to the fact that it’s under investigation and handled by some other team?? They told me I’d be receiving an email or a call from them within 72hrs (currently waiting). It’s very annoying because I rely on PayPal for Online shopping and it seems unfair. And according to the customer helper, I can no longer make any purchases. Could this be a mistake?

Most common reasons for an account limitation are:-

1. You have a previously limited account (temporary or permanent) and you have tried to open a new account and not resolved the issues with the other account first.
2. Using a VPN.
3. Not being in the country where you have opened a Paypal account.
4. Being under 18.
5. Having 2 Paypal accounts or more of the same account type.

If none of those then.........

You need to contact customer services to resolve any limitation or account specific issues.
Click help / contact bottom left of Paypal pages for options available for your country.

Or have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPal and @AskPayPal for Twitter.
