What happened to humans?

In addition to my regular PayPal charge account that I've had for years, I recently opened a PayPal Mastercard sponsored by Synchrony Bank.

Now the trouble. On 04/03/23 I found a pending unauthorized charge for $295.00. I immediately opened a Resolution Center Complaint. I received a message saying the case was resolved in my favor. That was April 03. Today, in  spite of all my efforts to get this removed from my account, nothing has been done and the charge was paid and is now included in my monthly statement. I contacted the recipient company of my $295.00 and was told  it is up to PayPal to rescind the payment.

Now, on April 11th there are two more unauthorized charges and I cannot talk with anyone or get to the correct  customer service for this account  to report this. 

PayPal Help directs from my complaint with MasterCharge to my old account, not the MasterCharge account. It's impossible to talk with a human to tell them to look at the MasterCharge account. I was able to email Synchrony Bank and was told a person in Customer Support would call me.  I live in Belize

and have an international phone number of which I advised them. PayPal does list Belize as a member country.

Belize is paypal supported but you should be using a paypal account registered in that country.

You should not be using a U.S paypal account as you would hit problems. 

Your best bet is to phone Synchrony bank and cancel the card and then close your U.S paypal account and open one in the correct country?

I too find the barrier to phone calling for customer service HORRIBLE.  I wish PayPal would reinstate a professional, friendly, polite and efficient PHONE SERVICE for customers.  This distancing of customers is absolutely infuriating - cold and inhuman. I have come very close to shutting my PP account because of it.  But then I found a number in the UK where nice people actually answered.  I no longer have it but consult the Oracle of Google - and if that office still exists, give it a whirl. The English and Irish PP employees were GREAT.  Really tried to help!

Never use google to search for paypal numbers, scammers use it to insert fake scam ones.

Always click help/contact bottom of paypal pages for contact options country specific.
