Hi!
During his visit in Italy my son's credit card was charged few euros two times by PAYPAL *<13-chars string>. He didn't recognize charges at all and hadn't made any purchases or orders for a long time before or during his visit in Italy.
He didn't have his credit card with him abroad, but he had Apple Pay installed to his phone. In Apple Pay's log there is nothing about these charges. He don't have an PayPal account. That's why I'm asking this here. Is there some way to search who or what company is behind the credit card statement name?

Hello @doubleduck,
Welcome to PayPal Community Forum and thank you for posting!
I am sorry to know about the unrecognized transactions on your financials. Please be informed that when a transaction shows on your bank or card statement but not in your PayPal account that is an indication that someone has obtained your financial information and used it without permission. Reporting the transaction to the bank and having them close the affected account is essential and the bank is responsible for refunding the unauthorized payment. In this situation, I would recommend you contact your financial institution to report the transactions.
Regards,
Ayesha

Thank you for your answer, Ayesha.
We got an answer from my son's bank and they told that there was several unauthorized attempts to charge his credit card from same account. The bank refund my son's money.
Best regards,
Markus
