Anyway what I need is a answer that pay pal, has been asking me since I joined many years ago, they want me to give them names of the people that I have gotten my things from, how in the hell would I know there names, I just bought everything and anything that I thought would be worth good money in the future, I thought by starting a small home business, selling on line, would be great!! Oh how wrong I am, I don't even have a tax number, that's how small I am in the business, 😂! I have been buying more than I have been selling, my house looks like a department store, so I just wanted to know how am I supposed to get all the things I need for this business of mine, no employer s,just me Thanks for listening to my grief, please help me out

If you aren't a registered business or high volume seller then why did you open a business account?

Hi @Alwaysaseller58  and welcome,

I am sorry to hear that you have been having such issues with your account. When we ask for information regarding items that you are seller it is generally just to verify where the items are coming from. You can reply back saying that you bought them some years ago and no longer have receipts for them. There are some seller's that buy items second hand or in carboot/garage sales so would not always have receipts. My advice would be to just be honest and tell them where you got them from and that you bought them a long time ago and are now selling them on.

In regard to your business account, you should have the option on your business information form to choose that you are an "individual". This will allow you to have a business account and sell your items without the need for official business documents.

I hope this help and please feel free to come back if you have any further questions,

Paula

Just thought if they didn't really need a business account they would be better off downgrading?

Hi @kernowlass

You are correct as always 🙂

In some cases if they are selling a lot of items like doing a house clearout or selling some old stuff they can have either but if they already have a business account then they can choose that they are an individual. Normally I would recommend the same as you did however as they have already been asked to supply this information it would be easier to supply it and then decide as they will have to provide it now either way.

Thanks

Paula
