Transaction issue, account limit

Someone sent me 50$ but I got an email saying he should send 200$ more and I should return it to him to expand the account limit.how do I fix this, I never received the money?

Its a scam using fake paypal emails.

You will send the funds using another payment processor normally and you won't get anything in your balance.

You do not have to send money to a buyer to expand anything.

So since that was an art commission I did for someone I suppose I was scammed and he never meant to pay?

No idea, but no funds in your paypal balance means no one has paid you anything.

Paypal never tell you to do anything until the funds SHOW in your paypal balance.

Even if pending or on hold they still show in your paypal balance.

And you never pay any upfront fee, any fee is auto deducted from your paypal payment in the same second your payment goes into your paypal balance.
