Sofa seller chasing

Hi people I made a purchase of a sofa over 8 months ago had lots of trouble with it and went through PayPal for refund as not as discribed and they never got back to me to resolve the issue and PayPal refunded my total amount. Now after this long period of time the retailer is claiming I never paid and are wanting the money? How can this be? I paid in full that's how I got the sofa and they never resolved the issues that's why PayPal refunded. I'd rather they take the sofa back. Please any advise

Ignore them, nothing they can do.

If they choose the small claims court then you have sufficient proof to show that they could have accepted a return of goods at the time of the dispute.

Yes exactly what I thought... I complained the sofa is terrible dents in arms etc and they also damaged my door getting it in. They keep sending letters, asking me to pay as they haven't received payment? Dfs well I paid via PayPal and I'm pretty sure they don't send goods out that have not been paid as the sofas are made to order! They just ignored my requests vi's PayPal they just left the dispute didn't even answer via the system once.

DFS are the worst, may be worth giving their c.s. a call and state what happened, if they say they say they will sue then tell them they can collect their trash and you will counter sue for damage to the door?

Yes 100% they can come collect the rubbish. And fix my door, I sent them pictures etc via email too.
Terrible quality.
I can't believe they even have the neck to chase me when I clearly paid via PayPal.
Why do they think they have delivered goods without payment?
Pathetic they are clearly ignoring the facts.
