SMS/Text message scam

I got a text message from sender VERIFY. It says “You’ve sent A$1850 to Ms. Linda [removed] at PayPal on 1st Mat 22, 11:03AM. IF NOT YOU, Contact Us Immediately. [removed] For Dispute.

Is my judgement right that it’s a fraud??

its a fraud - same source, same person at Paypal, same contact number, A$1760 @ 1222.  no transaction activity on account. I also get texts advising me of transactions from my credit card, just to be sure
