Permanently Limited Account

I have received a notification of a permanently limited account. Only explanation given is it’s occurred after a ‘recent review of activity’ can anyone give me a clue what this may mean? All payments and transactions for online purchasing which is all I use it for are and have been 100% normal, including all pay in 4 etc. I recently had cause to attempt a reversal of a payment for an app purchase which I raised and they refused to which I also replied my disappointment as I’ve done previously. Other than that all use has been entirely straightforward so I’m at a loss to understand why I’ve been ‘barred’ from now using PayPal moving forward. Any enlightenment would be appreciated, so far I’ve been unsuccessful in making any contact with customer service to obtain any answers directly. Thanks in advance

All it said was due to a review of recent activity? Not also that you pose a potential risk financially for PayPal or something to that effect? If it was just for recent activity, perhaps it has to do with reversal you raised. Did you indicate it was an unauthorized transaction and it wasn’t? If you raised dispute that didn’t meet the terms of buyer protection and copped an attitude when your reversal was denied, the account reviewer thought it best to part ways. File a complaint at PayPal AU here or at bbb.org under PayPal San Jose, CA. The US office will direct your complaint to the relevant office since you’re a non-US account.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Hi Yes that’s all it said, the dispute was due to an error on my part for a genuine purchase initially which I explained as such and they simply refused with a circular argument saying I needed to have canceled before it was processed effectively and disregarded as basically ‘tough’ .. I responded asking how I could possibly have done that and left it.. that was two weeks ago.. next I get is this limited account. I will admit whilst I did not swear in the response I made it clear that it was an impossible solution.. but as I said I left it after. I’d be pretty amazed if my single dissatisfied response has led to a complete block? If you think the complaint process is the way to go I will follow that.. appreciate your response.
