PayPal has closed my case without payment of refund. Please what can I do?

Argos has sent my refund to PayPal, however, PayPal have refused give me back my refund, despite several conversations with them, since the 6th June 2022. PayPal have now closed my case without payment of my refund. Please what can I do?

Welcome to the PayPal Community Forum! 

 

When a refund is issued by the merchant, you will receive an automatic email from PayPal advising you of this refund. Also, if you review the 'Activity' section of your PayPal account, this particular transaction should show as 'Refunded'. If you have not received this email and/or it does not show as refunded this means no refund has been issued by the seller. 

 

If the merchant issues a refund, PayPal will not block this. I would advise reaching out to the merchant to ensure this refund was issued by them. Otherwise, if the merchant is not issuing a refund and you are attempting to obtain one via a case. This case will be worked in line with our Buyer Protection Policy

 

If you feel like a mistake has been made with your case, you should have the option to appeal this or contact us for advice on this.
