PayPal/Bitcoin Scam

Is [removed] a real PayPal payment confirmation email? I received an email & I’m wondering if it is a scam. The email states that I need to create a bitcoin transaction history with PayPal to access funds that someone is claiming they paid me. Is this true? Additionally, the email is black behind all of the text & normally my PayPal emails are white pages/screens.

You never pay any upfront fee as a seller.

Ignore scammers that send fake Paypal emails telling you that you need to pay an upfront fee to verify/upgrade/or any other reason to 'accept' a payment.

You would certainly never have to send funds via another payment processor/bitcoins/ or tokens/vouchers of any sort.

Any fee is auto deducted by Paypal at the same instant the remainder of the payment is credited to your Paypal account balance.

No funds in your balance = you have not yet been paid, even pending/held payments will still show in your Paypal account activity.

Hi @kernowlass, I am not selling anything. The person “paid” me for “friends & family” & claims they have sent $3500 with a fee of $320. The email says “confirm payment via BITCOIN PURCHASE/ATM.” I just want to verify if this is legit or not. Thank you!

It’s a scam. Just mark that mail as scam and let it go to trash.
