Made a payment without PayPal protection

I made a payment without PayPal protection (because it was clearly a scam but I didn't see it) and the seller now doesn't respond, doesn't issue a refound. I tried appealing but since the payment wasn't covered by the PayPal protection, it says that I can't have a refound. What can I do?

Did you fund your paypal payment via a credit card then if so ask if they will help you but equally they may not dependent on scam type.

If not then if the seller is in the same country as you and you have their details then you have the option of private legal action maybe?

Sadly if you didn't use buyer protection then nothing paypal can do for you unfortunately.

Ok I will try asking for a refound via the credit card, because I highly doubt that he will give me back the money. Thank you very much I will let you know how it goes
