PayPal take all my info, my SS#, address, etc, everything short of one of my children, so I think it is ironic to put the blame on your customers when we trust you. You should be vetting the businesses to some degree, YES, every single one should be made to give you the correct address, correct phone numbers, and some financials, etc and as business they should be held to a higher standard, and even have to provide you with more detail. If you can get my money out of my account at the press of a button, then you should be able to get their money out of the account for fraudulent claims, or you should at least flag buyers purchasing from those business after they get only a few claims. Or here’s a good suggestion for any reputable business. If they get just a few claims, have a clause where you’ll make them pay it back or you can grab it from their account, and they’ll lose access to PayPal. That way it would not even be lucrative for these scams to start up in the first place, or to shut down and start up again under another name. If you wait until they get 100’s or more claims, then, yeah it’s worth it for them! PayPal obviously cannot handle the growth, paying too much attention donating to political causes, when no one cares what they think. It used to not be like this. I’ll be closing my account.
