Is there a way to request a refund after paying through family and friends payment option?
After payment using the family and friends option as requested by the vendor, it looks like my order has been lost in transit.
The vendor has stopped responding to my emails as to what is happening regarding my shipment.
Is there an avenue open to me to seek a refund through PayPal?
Thanks for any assistance.

No. Friends and family payments are not covered by PayPal buyer protection program. Never use f&f when making a purchase. F&F is essentially ‘gift’ payments with no obligation to ship/deliver goods.
You may try filing a chargeback if you paid with card but no guarantees since it’s a gift payment. And doing chargebacks on f&f payments so could have adverse consequences on your PayPal account.
