How do you appeal account use being prohibited?

My account was suspended for allegedly violating PayPal terms of service. At no time were any of the activities listed as prohibited conducted. At no time were there any illegal activities using Paypal. Been using Paypal for over a decade with issues. How do you appeal this kind of account suspension?

Thank you for your post in the Community Forum and welcome! I am sure that this situation has been frustrating and inconvenient for you, and I am sorry that you're having that experience. Account limitation is never a great experience, and when it seems incorrect, it's worse.

While PayPal does not take the act of permanent limitation lightly, mistakes can happen. If you believe that one has been made, you can reach out to Customer Service to request a second look by a teammate. If that second look has already been conducted and the decision was upheld, it would be final at that time.

Olivia - No offense, but that is really an **bleep** pre-programmed little answer. I was permanently “limited”…aka-banned, and no one at PayPal gave a flying **bleep** even though they KNEW that I was in no way responsible for the fact that someone used my email address to perform illegal activities.

It happened to me and I was told that even though they know it was an outside person using my email it didn’t make any difference…I was banned from using PayPal for life. **bleep**heads!
