Do invoices show in PayPal

Hi, buying a car from eBay via PayPal but the seller has sent me an invoice to pay BUT I can’t see the invoice in my PayPal account. Is this correct? I clicked link to chat online to a human and they told me it’s there waiting to pay…. Literally mins later the seller emailed me asking if I’d received the invoice. Should the invoice be in my PayPal account showing to be paid?? Help please! Thanks

I'm sorry to hear about the concern caused by the invoice you recently received. You are absolutely correct. If the invoice was sent to your PayPal email address, you would have been able to see it after you logged into your PayPal account. Regrettably, it sounds like you may have been sent a fake invoice if it's not showing. Since you clicked on a link within the email, please reset your PayPal password and security questions right away. I also recommend referring to our Help Center to learn how to spot and report a fake PayPal email.
