I received a request this morning from an unknown person. The email from PayPal said if I didn't decline in 2 hours the transaction would go through. Is there a way to set this up so that ANY/ALL transactions HAVE to be approved before going through? I am concerned that had I not seen this request a $647.99 payment would have gone through. The phone # paypal supplied went unanswered.

No there isn’t a way to do that but you’ve mistaken it as a payment or a withdrawal set to happen because of the bogus text the scammer wrote. What you received is an unsolicited official PayPal money request or PayPal invoice from a scammer with a PayPal account intent to alarm and confuse. You are not charged if you don’t pay it. Just forward the email to phishing@paypal.com. Never call the numbers because they are direct line to scammer, for future reference.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
