Validation error: PayPal IPN response from a different email address

Hello I have a new WooCommerce store and the first few orders have all been put on hold in the WooCommerce dashboard.

It gives me this error

Validation error: PayPal IPN response from a different email address

I have recently confirmed this email address inside the settings on the website to the email within PayPal online and they are the same.

Any suggestions?

Hello,

"Validation error: PayPal IPN response from a different email address"

If you have changed the email address which is used to receive payments and have only updated the email address in the Magento payment module, this will only affect new transactions from that point onward, it will not affect any existing transactions which are in-flight and which are using the original email address.

You'll continue to see this error in your logs until the in-flight transactions have been completed.

Thanks !

how do we get the 'in-flight' transactions complete if they are services or electronic delivery?  Is there any way to re-issue the order or manually remove it from hold from the WooComm side. I saw one thread that suggested the buyer might have to go into their PayPal account and mark the item as RECEIVED and that would remove the hold - is that correct? another thread suggested we had to wait 21 days to ensure there was no dispute. Any advice? WooComm will not send the electronic item until the Hold is released.

thanks.
