Paypal : simulate error vs negative testing

Hello,

I want to simulate error with my PayPal workflow.

If I check the doc, I see I can enable negative testing, but if my comprehension is good, the response is a specific response for negative testing (json with name, message, information_link, details).

Is there a way to execute approved PayPal payment with a response state equal to failed and a failure_reason?

Hello,

For this scenario, you would need to for example create the payment first, then remove any funding sources from the account, such as account balance and any bank account, debit/credit cards and then attempt to execute the payment which will fail due to the buyer account being unable to fund the payment.
