PayPal Payment Processing error

Hello,
i'm currently using the PayPal sandbox accounts on my site to test my transactions. These last days the transactions are having problems being confirmed being confirmed. After i click on the "Pay Now" button an error page appears, with the following text: Things don't appear to be working at the moment. Please try again later.
This error has appeared other times before, but it's always been resolved after a couple of hours max, but today it's taking much longer.
When this error doesn't appear the transactions takes too much to be confirmed. Sometimes even hours.
Is there anything i can do to help speed this process and to not have this problem again?

It happens. Hit the "Login to Ask the community" button to create a question for the PayPal community.
