Enable recurring billing in sandbox account

Hi @gingertechie 

Thank you for posting to the PayPal Sandbox Community. I tried to add Reference Transactions to the sandbox account, but I found that it is Premier account and not a Business account.

Here is how to create a Sandbox Business Account:

https://developer.paypal.com/tools/sandbox/accounts/#create-a-business-sandbox-account

Log into the PayPal Developer Dashboard at https://developer.paypal.com (your live PayPal credentials)

• Click on Testing Tools
• Click on Sandbox Accounts
• Click Create account
• Click Create to the right of to "Do you want a more customized account?"
• Click Business
• Choose the country
• Input an email
• Input a password
• Input a balance of at least 5000.00
• Leave everything else at default
• Click Create Account

Once the account is created you should be able to click on it and scroll down to Sandbox account info. The Account ID is what we need to enable Reference Transactions. If you do not need Reference Transactions you can use Subscriptions API with a business account.

I've created a new sandbox account, using the instructions you provided. The account ID is

For context, what I'm trying to do is test the creation of a subscription, in order to integrate the Paid Memberships Pro Wordpress plugin.

Thank you for creating the new Business Sandbox Account. I have confirmed that Reference Transactions is enabled. You should be able to integrate with Paid Membership Pro and test in sandbox.
