Not receiving payment confirmation emails! Anyone else?

I haven't been receiving some of my payment confirmation emails from PayPal...most of them I do, but every once in a while, I don't get one. This really is a problem for me, as I star the payment confirmation emails as they come in, to remind me to ship the product to the buyer. The first time this happened, the buyer sent me an email asking why they hadn't received their items...I searched every way I could in my emails and eventually I realized that PayPal had never sent me an email for the payment. This really could effect my eBay ratings and my business! Has anyone else had this issue? The strange thing is how I receive most of the emails I should, and it's not until I think I haven't received payment and go and check that I see that the buyer sent payment the same day of purchase and I just didn't know about it. It seems so random.

I haven't been receiving my payment confirmation emails either, probably for the last 3-4 days. A big problem for me as well - Paypal has been having issues! A few weeks ago I wasn't able to enter tracking information for 2 days. Big problems for online merchants.

I haven't been receiving my payment confirmation emails either, on Friday I called and the operator told me all of Pay Pal was down, and they have been having problems all week. It is not your isp the error is at Pay Pal.

Really, if PayPal is having issues, especially something that can really negatively effect their customers' businesses, why do they not send emails letting us know? (Or, is there a system like this that I don't know about?) Then, at least we'll know to go check PayPal to see if buyers have paid. A simple notification system would be nice--I think it's really unnecessary that we should have to call to get this type of information.

Same here. In the last couple of years it has happened once or twice that I didn't get a confirmation e-mail. However, the last couple of days I keep finding that about 1 in 3 e-mails never arrives. Paypal's help pages suggest it may be because my ISP (Virgin Media) is blocking the e-mails. I doubt this is the case; I would expect the e-mails to at least end up in the spam folder.

I missed getting an email notification back in August. Thought it was my spam filters. I missed getting one on Friday (10/29) and thought that it was the spam filters again though I've been checking. I just noticed a new sale in my account and - no email notice! I had notices for another sale just before, but nothing on the later one. Nothing in the spam folders either. That, and this thread, have me suspecting something at PayPal.
So PayPal - what's going on????

1)What's going on?
2) If this is a known issue, why aren't we being informed of notification outages?

ME ME ME ! I have been having this problem sporadically for 1-2 weeks. It just happened again late last night! Very frustrating

Me,too. Not receiving notice for things I buy or sell. Causing HUGE issues. Spent 45 minutes on the phone and then was disconnected and no response to e-mails. It is now 4 times since October 1.

See, I haven't had this problem in the last few weeks, but I think it's worse if it's some sort of sporatic problem. I'm worried I'll get complacent and fail to ship out another item when things go wonky again.
PAY PAL!!!! Hel-LO? Anybody awake in there?
