Download a "Bank" Statement

Is there a way to D/L a monthly statement similar to a business checking acccount?  I've tried the various transaction detail reports but none I've found so far show the basic info like beginning and ending balances.

My business sells online using Paypal. I use Quickbooks with a Paypal "Bank" account.  I'm using Simpleport to get the data in, but something is off so I'd like to reconcile the Paypal account as I do my checking account.

I've considered dumping all the Paypal data and re-importing it with Simpleport, but that seems like using a sledgehammer to drive a thumbtack!

Does anyone know if a straigforward way to reconcile a Paypal "bank" account in Quickbooks Pro 2010?  I'm all ears!

Thx  John

**bleep** good question.  Why hasn't this gentlemans question been answered by someone at PayPal?

I've just wasted over an hour of my time trying to get these **bleep** reports to show me something meaningful, and the closest I've found is the Monthly financial summary...yet I can't get the details at all, and that's what I need.  It keeps giving me errors of various types.  Either the report doesn't render, or the details, when I finally get them to display, I can't print the **bleep** thing.  It causes the browser to be inaccessible, and I have to force restart the whole **bleep** thing.

Happens in IE and Firefox.  You aren't getting me to test in any more browsers.

Get your act together paypal, otherwise I'm joining the fight to have you replaced by a different service.

This **bleep**.

Hi Waynejohn,

When I didn't get any response from my post, I called them up and finally got a work-around.  They said to click the "History" tab, choose "Basic Search" and "All Activity (with balance)" at the top left.  You can pick the starting and ending dates of the month you want.  It's not perfect (doesn't summarize the beginning and ending balances) but it gave me enough to reconcile the account.

BTW, I use Firefox, and yes it is dead-dog slow, but I didn't lock up (yet!).

Hope this helps.

Thanks!  I found that the search worked, so I just specified the date range I wanted and printed that.

It's pointless offering these reports if they're so buggy that they're worthless.
