on my activity page of the Paypal account? Any legitimate accounting statement/register shows a running balance. Paypal intentionally obscures this information - why I do not know.

I tried contacting the BBB (Better Business Bureau) about this and
Paypal just played dumb until they gave up. Paypal will never be honest
about this. All the "solutions" they give you don't work. No matter what
version of report you try, you will either get holds and hold releases that
muddy up the data to the point where you cannot track anything, or
the running balance will be gibberish.
What paypal alternatives are there?
