My company is exporting software services from India.
My Account is Business account and default currency is USD
My client send me payment in USD for software service but its credited in my company bank account as INR.
As per the GST act Export of Services are taxable at ZERO rate if the payment are received in convertible foreign currency. Can the amount received in Paypal account and transferred in my company bank account in INR considered as amount received in foreign currency? ie can we get the benefit of zero% if we are getting payment through paypal account and transfer to my company bank account
GST exemption will be available only if i receive the payment in my company bank account as foreign currency.
Please advise
