refund not cleared !!

Hi, 

I placed an order for an item for £85 . 

the seller canceled the purchase strightaway , 

and refund the £85.

but Paypal stopped the payment and it appeares like this on my log :

-£85-----order placed

£85 ------seller refund

-£85-----Paypal kept the money

Hi Saeidi,

Thank you for contacting the PayPal Community Forum.

When you make a payment using PayPal we will send the money to the seller straight away and request the funds from your bank/card. The bank may take up to 5 days to process the payment to PayPal. During this time-frame if you receive a refund we will place the funds on hold. This is to ensure the bank will complete the original payment, if the bank declined the payment to us and we had released the refund to you, you would effectively be receiving £85.00 for nothing.
