how to cancel an uncleared echeque refund

hi

i had to refund a member on ebay and its sent by echeque !! 😞 it is uncleared and i cant for the life of me figure out how to cancel the refund. i want to send the money now not in a week...

also iv cancelled the direct debit on the echeque on my bank account so it shouldnt send anyway

any help much appreciated

The only way to send a refund if you don't have funds in your paypal balance is by echeque.

yeah i do have the funds my bank was just slow in updating , i thought it was in my account already but obviously wasnt.

iv got the money now,do you know how i could cancel this refund echeque ?

You can cancel echeques but not refunded echeques.

ok well i have cancelled the direct debit that was created by doing the echeque so what will happen know the cheque just bounce? and will i be able to cancel this by ringing paypal?

OK if you have cancelled the direct debit then yes the echeque will probably fail.

Why not just wait till it clears through to the buyer??
