Hi, i have just bought an item and paid using an e-cheque as i had insufficient funds in my paypal account. Where does this e-cheque come out of, is it my bank account which is linked to my paypal account or do i have to transfer more money into my paypal account ? Also it says it will take up to 5 days to be sent to the seller, does the money go straight into their account or do they have to wait for it to clear at their end ? Many thanks, Gav.

Hi Gav, yea the money comes from the bank account connected to your paypal. Then it takes between 5-7 working days to clear into the sellers account. Hope this helps pal

Hey guys,
Thanks for the comment RUBICMONSTER, that's correct, Kudos to you
Gav, as RUBICMONSTER says, the funds will come directly from your bank account.

Hi, i sent a e-cheque on the 28-11-2010(due to clear between 2nd-6th december 2010) and the money was taken from my bank account on 30-11-2010. Then the seller cancelled the e-cheque on 01-12-2010 before it was cleared into there account. Can someone tell me were my money is now?

Hey there RUBICMONSTER,
I just moved your other post here as you have kind of answered your own question.
The difference is as the eCheques has been cancelled the funds will take the 5-7 working days to clear into your PayPal balance instead of your sellers.

Hi
I have just made my first ebay purchase and was expecting the purchase to go through straight away, but it seems i hjave used this echeque thing and could take quite a few days.My bank account is verified so why isn't it an instant transfer. When my partner makes a purchase on his account, the money is sent straightaway. We both use the same joint bank account.

If you fund your paypal payment with bank account details only with paypal it will go as an echeque.
However if you have a debit or credit card linked to paypal as back up source it will go straight away.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
