Unclaimed transaction, cannot cancel

I made a transaction 30 days ago (I sent the money) that had a pending status for a while, and now it says "unclaimed". There is no option to refund or cancel it on either end. I read somewhere that after 30 days a pending/unclaimed payment would automatically be cancelled and the funds returned to my balance, but it doesn't seem like it's working?

Is there anything I can do to manually cancel the transaction? The recipient have not received any email about it and nothing shows up in their PayPal profile.

Normally the pending status times out at 30 days but it has to be a full 30 days.

If its not timed out then give customer services a bell and see if they can do anything.

But your funds won't have been taken to contact your funding source ie bank or card and ask them to release the pending payment back to your account as it won't now be needed.

When you say a full 30 days do you mean 30 days after it becoming "unclaimed" from "pending", or just 30 days since initiated?

Paypal (not me, I don't have anything to do with them), state 30 days after the payment was intiated.

It would always have stated pending / unclaimed.
