Hi everyone
From a couple of days I sent a payment to a seller using credit card and then i had to change the shipping address so he refunded the money and it appeared on my account then I tried sending the payment again but there was a problem that they didn't accept the credit card .
So I closed my paypal account and made another account immediately with same email address and credit card number as the closed account and sent the payment to the seller after correcting the shipping address .
I have found out on the second day that my credit card has been charged twice so I didn't get any kind of refunds . I and the seller have the refund confirmation receipt from Paypal .
I contacted paypal and they called me today saying that the transaction id I gave is invalid but I should get the refund in 5 days .
But I am really worried that closing my account will prevent the refund from arriving to the credit card ?
Also I am a bit frustrated as the customer service agent said something like it is out of our hands now or it is not our responsibilty now though she said that I should get the refund in 5 days so my money is still with Paypal so it is definetly their responsibility !
Anyway the seller sent me another unique transaction ID , i sent it to the customer service and waiting for there reply .
Could you please guys give me any advice or help since it is a large sum of money ?

Well its not their problem that you would close one account and open another !!!!! That is what they meant, in that whilst your refund ''should'' go back to your card as you have already closed your account it may be delayed or not get there at all.
You just have to keep an eye and hope it does go back to your card.
And you are not very patient are you, >> payments and refunds are not instant !!!
When you pay someone the funds take a few days to transfer from your funding source to paypal > that is why paypal CREDIT your seller and paypal wait for the funds to transfer, this is so you get your item more quickly.
But if a refund happens very quickly then paypals credited funds are returned to them but they are still awaiting your payment from your credit card > when it arrives at paypal as the transaction has been refunded it is then returned to your card.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
