If your old and new debit cards are both linked to the same bank account then there should not be a problem, give it about a week to transfer though and if any problems contact CS.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Hello Lauren1996-c,
Thank you for your post and welcome to the PayPal Community!
When a refund is made the funds are always sent to the original card used to fund the payment. If the card is no longer active your bank should be able to credit the funds to the bank account linked to the card as mentioned by @kernowlass.
Please note that refunds to a card might take up to 30 days to be showed in your card/bank statement. In this case, I suggest you to keep an eye in your card/bank statement during the coming days.
Hope this helps,
Carlos
