Received a refund but it's not showing in my balance??

Hi, I recently purchase an item from a Seller oversea, but end up the Seller couldn't ship me the item I want so they refund all the money back to me. On Paypal it shows the refund of $400 is completed, but I don't see the balance on my Paypal account.  I was using my bank checking account to paid the item. 

How long does it take to had the money refund back to my account and show on Paypal balance?? It had been 3 days now.

Are you in the UK as you are talking in dollars?

If you are can you receive dollar payments in your U.K paypal account?

Did you fund it via instant bank transfer or debit card?

Depending on the funding source used by the seller the time it takes for you get the money can vary quite a bit.  For example, if the seller uses funds from their PayPal Account Balance, the refund can be almost right aways however, if the seller uses their bank account, the time can vary anywhere between 2 and 8 plus days.  Each scenario is different.
