I foolishly tried to move money from my Hubby's bank to my own thinking I could do it via PayPal using our secondary (not registered with PayPal) address as the recipient.
I cancelled both attempts within minutes when I realised I had no way to reclaim the money and my Activity page confirmed they are cancelled.
But both sums have been taken from my Hubby's account and the relevant PayPal bit tells me they are now on Temporary Hold.
I have replied to several PayPal messages and included a screen shot of the bank statement but I am unsure what happens now.
I am unable to use the phone to contact PayPal so the messages are the only way for me to sort the issues out.
It isn't helped by the fact I cannot seem to discover how to read any message replies I have sent in the Message Centre as it only seems to show incoming ones?
Could some kind person let me know what is likely to happen next (and roughly how long the process will take)?

When you pay someone it is never instant > paypal credit the receiver for you and then start the process of uploading your funds to paypal from your funding source.
This is done so you get your item more quickly.
So when you cancel that payment those funds can't do a u-turn > they have to process through to paypal who will then either return them to your funding source (if you paid with a debit or credit card), or credit your paypal balance (if it was funded from your balance or instant bank transfer), but that takes a few days and sometimes up to a week.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
