I recently had bought something and used a guest paypal at checkout. The item didn't arrive so I got a refund, I opened an email saying the money had been refunded to my paypal account which I didn't have. Then I opened a paypal account with the same email and credit card and linked both accounts. I expected to then see the refund but I didn't. why?
If you paid as a guest buyer via a credit card then it won't go back to your paypal account balance. It will automatically go back to your bank account or credit card but takes up to a week to process through to the bank and a bit longer for a c.c (paypal say allow 30 days but I have never waited longer than a week for mine).
