Chargeback

Hi I'm a little confused!......not unusual in itself but this one is new to me. I sold a watch on eBay back in February and I know it arrived ok as the buyer left positive feedback. Now I have been hit with a chargeback from the buyer....whatever that means......and I had to send a picture of the proof of postage to PayPal.....anybody and idea what all this might mean? Many thanks

Your best bet is to email your buyer and make sure it is not a mistake.

HOWEVER maybe the watch has stopped working for whatever reason and they are no longer happy with it.

If its a chargeback then the dispute was raised directly via the buyer and their credit card company. In that scenario even if the buyer won you may not lose out either as long as you met all the requirements of seller protection.

One of those is providing trackable proof of the item to the buyers paypal registered address.
