I purchased an item through newegg recently and paid through paypal. I had no money in my paypal account but it just transfers over funds from my bank account to cover anything I purchase through it. Anyways.. I decided to then cancel my order a couple days later, and I have emails from Newegg stating refund was completed and on here it said Refund completed and then right after that it says a temporary hold has been placed on the refund and that they are "looking over it". Well it's been over 2 days now and I'm just wondering what the heck is going on? My account on paypal says $0.00 and I haven't been refunded directly to my bank account either.. it just shows the money I paid for the item.. no refund yet.
Anyone have these problems? How long does it take to resolve? It was a pretty expensive purchase for me and I kind of need the money back soonish, which **bleep**.
Bank funded paypal payments are not instant. Paypal will treat them as as instant if you have a credit card attached to your paypal account, and "Front" the money.
A bank funded payment takes 2-7 business day to clear at both ends. Once it clears, it will be automatically refunded and show as a balance in your paypal account.
