Refund product AND postage?

Hello, 

I have a buyer who requested a refund - I am ok with that but should I refund just the product expense OR refund both product and the original  shipping costs??

If there is not a claim surrounding this payment then it is completely up to you whether you refund the full amount or a partial.  I would encourage you to contact your buyer and work out a solution that works for the both of you so that you can avoid any further problems.  It sounds like you are trying to do the right thing and take care of your customer so I have a good feeling that everything is going to work out well.  Take care.
