i am a new user, and it says you can recieve money faster after a transaction but the link is bad

how do i go about requesting my money sooner than the 21 days for new user.  the buyer received the item and left positive feed back.

Hey msfantastic56, welcome to the boards and PayPal! 😄

There are two other ways to have payments released before the 21 days. That's just the "If-all-else-fails" timeframe.

1. If the buyer leaves positive feedback, the system should release that within a day at most. It's usually pretty good at that.

2. Three days after confirmed delivery of the item, our system should release the payment as well.  If you use PayPal or eBay shipping, the tracking is automatically added to the transaction. If you don't, you can always add it later from the "Details" link on your transactions.

In response to the first part its been done and my money says it still has 21 days and for part 2 also been done and also still says 21 days.... it's now been 14 so that means both the tracking and feedback have failed.. I also have a few friends who are still waiting after a month for release of their funds... is the system dying. A lot of the links seem to be down for helping us... the only links working the past 3 weeks have been for paypal to get thier money... are we now in a lose/lose situation where users of paypal need to watch our backs and money too??? Not tyring to be mean just tired of having to wait so long for money I have put effort in getting and not having access to it.

zaltoid- I'm sorry that the system isn't behaving as it should.  The examples I stated above are when the payments should be releasing. If they aren't, your best bet would be to give us a call so we can review the situation. Worse comes to worse, we can release the payments if it's just our system being stubborn. 

We absolutely want you to get your money so if our system is making that difficult, I do apologize.

Same problem guys-online(help)instead of releasing my funds a week after confirmed delivery advised me to contact seller and told me to be a good user and a responsible part of e bay family.

My boyfriend is selling on Ebay and is having the same problems. The strange thing is I have been selling for awhile and never had a payment held. He is so annoyed and rightfully so. It seems ridiculous to hold payments for 21 days

when he has paid ebay and pay pal and the buyer has received his purchase. Why is he getting **bleep**ed?

I have another friend who sells and has told me she has never had a payment held either. WTF? Seriously... with no negative feedback and positive ratings why is pay pal holding money from people who need it? More over why are people with 0 feedback and purchase able to bid on my items? They never pay. Ebay should UP that one and make them BUY items now and receive feedback before letting them bid on ANYTHING.

It is simply not true!  They are doing EVERYTHING in their power to hold money as long as they can.  I have had and I am still having the same problem, they say get delivery conformation (done), receive positive feedback (done), and still they hold it for 21 days....or more.  Do the math.......hold hundreds orf thousands of transactions a day...collect interest on that money daily....big profit!!!  BTW...big surprise,,,I could not reply to Andy's comment!  Check the boards.....add it up...it's being done to ALL.......for the profit!!!!!!!!!!   Stop accepting PayPal.
