a form will appear and everything is pretty much self-explanatory. you can set up templates too. there are fields available for you to enter your own terms and conditions, and note to recipient, etc. put your customer's info and/or email address. and if they don't have an account, no worries. PayPal will send the invoice email to the customer with instructions on how to pay. Paypal accepts credit/debit card payments even if you don't have your own cc/dc processing gateway merchant account for your business.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

I have created invoices to reeive payments from consiulting clients. Currently I have discovered that the email address I used to request payment was wrong. When I call up the invoice and select "edit" that field cannot be edited. Why? help! please advioise. I don't want to have to recreate the entire invoice over a two character change.
Thanks

Your best option is to simply create a new invoice. You can do this in the followin waye :
1. Go to the "Manage Invoices" section under the Request Money tab
2. For the invoice you sent to the incorrect email address, click the "Copy" button in the action column (its a split button, so you'll have to use the down arrow on the button to find Copy
3. This will open up a new invoice in the Edit mode
4. Edit the email address and hit send.
You can also Cancel the old invoice you sent (to the incorrect email) by hitting Cancel on the split button for the old invoice.

Yes, I create invoices and send them to my customers regularly. The major problem with the new invoicing is that my invoices don't always send. Just sometimes and I never get the paypal invoice sent email confirmation. I have to immediately send a reminder and I am not sure that even always works. Very frustrating. There is a whole other thread about this, but I thought it might get some Paypal Customer Service response here.
Another minor problem is that you can't add in the customers shipping address without adding their billing address. Which is not an address that I would know. Also you can't add who the customer is, just their email address.

I have been using it for a few months and overall I like it. The one item I would really like is the ability to set up to automatically send the invoice to a customer every month. Say the 1st of the month. I know you have Enhanced Recurring payments, but that isn't what I am talking about. I would like the invoice to be sent to the customer every month and they can pay it or it can be set up to automatically debit their card. But in any case the invoice will be automatically sent out every month.
That said, could an invoice be attached to one of the Enhanced Payment options (that would automatically go out each time)?
Thanks and keep up the good work.

I just sent out an invoice as follows:
Original Price $41.25
Discount (10%) -4.13
Total Due $37.13
So it looks like you have a rounding issue with the discounts on the new invoice format. I know it is only a 1 cent issue in this case....but it makes the invoice look tacky....

Thanks for the input. Will see to it that it gets into the hands of the right people that make the decisions on what features and enhancements get prioritized.
