I have been using the PayPal API for 2 years now and recently we are having issues with users who are selecting the PAY WITH VISA DEBIT or CREDIT CARD option to make a quick pay (as opposed to logging into their PayPal account).
After they enter all the information into the PayPal popup window and click the final PAY / CONTINUE button, the PayPal pop-up/overlay window just disappears and does not process their payment. I have an error call-back which gets invoked when this happens.
This is intermittent - sometimes it works, other times it does not. I have not changed any of my script at all and this just started happening in the past week or 2.
I have a ticket in with tech support...but if anyone else has run into this, that may be helpful.
