Good day @ylsnanny
Thank you for posting to the PayPal community.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
To renew your API certificate, please follow the steps below:
- Log in to your PayPal Live or Sandbox account.
- Click Activity at the top of the page.
- Click API Access under "Operations."
- Under "NVP/SOAP API integration", click Manage API credentials.
- Select the desired option.
Please note that you can only have two active certificates at once. If you need to renew one, you may need to remove the other one first.
For more information, please refer to the guide provided at the following link.
If your still facing issues, please create an MTS ticket via - https://www.paypal-support.com/s/?language=en_US with the detailed information and error details.
Sincerely,
Kavya

I don't know why PayPal won't fix this; it's been a common issue for years.
- Go here: https://www.paypal.com/businessmanage/credentials/apiaccess
- Depending on your site, click Manage API credentials (most people probably have an integrated one eg NVP/SOAP API integration (Classic)
- If you can't see the button to Renew Certificate, you must have an expired certificate (as well as a 'live' or current one). The expired one will need to be deleted; once you have done that, you can add a new one.
